Demolition progresses at the Pikes Theater. Making room for new bathrooms, new foyer and concession area. New seats and screens to come.
At its annual meeting on September 21, 2018 the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland elected Bruce Quackenbush, co-owner of American Contracting Services, Inc. to be its Vice Chairman of the Board.
The Board’s primary responsibility is governance and leadership. It sets policy, approves new applicants for Accreditation, and advances BBB's mission. The full Board meets an average of four times per year, in addition to conducting an annual retreat. Members are expected to recruit a minimum of two new BBB members each year, financially support BBB events, and serve on at least one committee during a portion of their three-year term
“I am honored to continue my service on the Board of Directors as Vice Chairman. We truly believe in the mission and work of the BBB. Its Standards of Trust guide our entire team at American Contracting every day.”, Quackenbush said.
American Contracting was selected as the winning bidder for the renovation of the venerable Pikes Theater in downtown Pikesville.
The Pikes Theater, a well known Pikesville landmark, will be remodeled to include a two screen theater with food service and adult beverages. Patrons will be able to order food from their reserved seats. A new concession area will be created and a new façade will be added to the building. Here is an artists rendering:
