American Contracting Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the election of its vice president and co-owner, W. Bruce Quackenbush, Jr., to chairperson of the Better Business Bureau Serving Greater Maryland Board of Directors. He takes over following the term expiration of outgoing chairperson, Arlene Thayer of KatzAbosch, who provided three years of executive leadership. Alongside his election,
the Board of Directors confirmed eight new members. BBB’s mission to build an ethical marketplace aligns with the trustworthy and reliable reputation that drives American Contracting Services, Inc.

I now enjoy providing customers with excellent results for a fair value,” says W. Bruce Quackenbush, Jr. about his new appointment. “BBB embodies these values. As chairperson of the Board of Directors, I’ll work with board leadership to ensure BBB maintains fiscal responsibility while also enhancing core services to guide the Maryland business community as they navigate their pandemic recovery.”
As vice president and co-owner of American Contracting Services, Inc. W. Bruce Quackenbush, Jr. has provided commercial and residential renovations in the Baltimore metropolitan area for 18 years. Since 2013, he has served on the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, upholding high standards and providing support for home improvement professionals. He’s also president of the Episcopal Housing Corporation and vice president of the Historical Society of Baltimore County.

Board members are voluntary representatives from the Maryland community of Accredited Businesses. They are committed to upholding the core values of BBB, operating in accordance with BBB’s Code of Business Practices. Board members serve one three year term and are eligible to renew for a second term.
